A Note From April

I know how easy it is to spend years feeling stuck overthinking everything, trying harder, and wondering why nothing seems to change. That's why I love the work I do. There's something incredibly rewarding about watching people stop fighting their minds and start building lives that actually feel meaningful. It's an honor to be invited into that process, and I don't take that trust lightly. Whether you're navigating OCD, anxiety, or a difficult season of life, my hope is that therapy becomes a place where you feel understood, challenged, and genuinely hopeful about what's possible.

Clients often describe me as

  • Genuine

  • Empathetic

  • Understanding

  • Non-Judgemental

  • Down-to-Earth

  • Knowledgeable

Experience & Training

April earned her Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Utah.

She has experience working with individuals navigating OCD, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and compulsive behaviors. She also has extens ive experience providing specialized treatment for individuals with criminal justice involvement.

Her approach is influenced by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), while always focusing on helping clients create meaningful and lasting change based on their values.

Outside of the therapy office

When she's not in the therapy office, April is usually spending time with her daughter, tackling a home project, lifting weights, or getting outside whenever Utah weather cooperates. She's an equal-opportunity reader who loves getting lost in a good psychological thriller just as much as diving into nonfiction on psychology, business, and personal growth. She also enjoys discovering new music and finding any excuse to laugh. While life isn't perfect, she believes there's a lot of joy to be found in living a life that's guided by what matters most.
