For the Next Chapter of Your Life.Therapy in Utah for Anxiety, OCD, and breaking free from fear
At Second Draft Psychotherapy, we help you understand the patterns keeping you trapped and develop new ways of responding so they can move toward a life that feels meaningful, connected and like your own again.
You might notice:
Your thoughts won't leave you alone
Anxiety keeps pulling your attention back
You replay conversations for hours
You feel trapped in patterns you can't break
You constantly seek certainty but never feel fully reassured
Life keeps getting smaller as fear takes up more space
Maybe you’ve already tried coping strategies, self-help books, researching online, reassurance from others, or even therapy before.
Yet somehow the same struggles keep showing up.
Not because you're broken.
But because fighting your mind often becomes part of what keeps you stuck.
When Your Mind Starts Running the Show…

You learn to
Respond Differently
Many people come to therapy hoping to get rid of difficult thoughts, emotions, or anxiety altogether. The goal isn’t to never feel anxious. It’s not to eliminate uncertainty.
Instead, it’s about helping you build the skills to respond differently.
Together, we’ll explore:
The patterns and habits that may be keeping you stuck
New ways to respond to anxiety, uncertainty, and discomfort
What matters most to you and the life you want to build
Our focus is helping you develop greater flexibility, clarity, and confidence so you can move toward the life you want--even when things feel difficult. Because freedom doesn’t come from controlling every thought. It comes from learning that your thoughts don’t have to control you.

About Second Draft Psychotherapy
Second Draft Psychotherapy was created by April O’Neill, LCSW, after years of seeing the same patterns show up across different diagnoses, backgrounds, and life circumstances.
People were working incredibly hard. Trying harder. Thinking harder. Controlling more. Avoiding more.
Yet somehow feeling worse.
The problem often wasn’t a lack of effort.
The problem was the exhausting relationship they had developed with their own thoughts, fears, urges, and uncertainty.
This practice was built around helping people change that relationship.
Because you don’t need a completely different life. You might just need a different way of living it.
